Interested in doing a Short Term mission trip?

Short-term mission experiences can be catalysts for change... in your own life and the lives of others. In recent years, many Christians of all ages have been heading out to observe and serve within overseas cultures. 

Pioneers is committed to facilitating short-term mission opportunities for people who want to experience first-hand what God is doing in and through the lives of long-term church-planting team members. Our goal is to help you find a place of fulfillment in God’s purposes for both you and the world!

We can put together customized trips for individuals who are thinking about exploring future possibilities in mission or who are wanting to use their skills to serve by visiting and working alongside missionaries on the field for a period of time from one month to two years.

This is a fantastic time to serve God and others using skills and gifts and to interact with people from another culture in a really intentional way. Beyond trips with Pioneers are arranged very much around what God is already doing in the person going, and the overseas hosting team. Once we find out a bit more about how God is leading someone, what their skills are and what they envisage their time away to look like, we are better able to tailor the trip to bring these aspects together.

Beyond trips with Pioneers are arranged -

• in partnership with the local church, 
• very much around what God is already doing in the person going, and
• in conversation with the overseas hosting team.

Once we find out a bit more about how God is leading someone, what their skills are and what they envisage their time away to look like, we are better able to tailor the trip to bring these aspects together.

Beyond programs are for individuals, couples or families –

• Who are wanting to explore future possibilities in long term mission, or
• Who are wanting to use their skills to serve by visiting and working alongside missionaries on the field for a set period of time

The requirements for a Beyond program are –

• Aged 18 or more
• Membership and in good standing with a local church
• References from your pastor and two others – e.g. employer, friend etc.
• Completion of the required application process – see diagram on page 18
• Able to pay your expenses or raise the support needed through your home church and other partners before you leave
• In agreement with the Vision, Core Values and Beyond policies of Pioneers
• Attendance at the Pioneers Orientation Program prior to departure
